With the dark winter light seemingly never ending, I've been stuck in a bit of a style rut. Gone are the on trend jackets and statement jewellery, its been layers upon layers of thick, practical jumpers.
Its hard to try and motivate myself to make an effort, when even though it looks like something my Nana would wear, that fuzzy grey jumper is just so damn warm.
However on Saturday I may have accidentally on purpose stumbled onto Oxford Street. Seeing the magical, colourful windows of Selfridge's I found myself inspired to ditch the grey, and add some colour back into my life. And boy did I do that!

As soon as I saw this skirt I knew it was what I needed. There certainly wouldn't be a lack of colour in my life now. Swishy, playful and a little bit flirty, it is guaranteed to put a big smile on your face... if not just for the reactions you will get.
Teamed with this structured crop top, it helps to balance out the asymmetrical skirt. But it is those shoes that are guaranteed to bring joy to your life- or is that just me and heels?
Fashion is considered an art by some people, so I call this trend Abstract Fashion after the abstract art movement. Well its far less messy than real painting.
