The Best Bottomless Brunches In London

Friday 15 January 2016
Ah January, its such a funny month. A month filled with guilt, new diets, crazy amounts of gym classes and lots of 'New Year, New Me' sayings batted about. I wrote about healthy places to eat out so your social life didn't suffer, however sometimes you just want to say stuff the diet, stuff January detox and just go out and have fun.

So what better way than to go all out? Say hello to the bottomless brunch. Yup its a thing. Some are unlimited food, and some are unlimited booze, but the really good ones are both! Enjoy.

Quaglino's Q Brunch

Quaglino's, the once hot spot of the 1930s had a revamp last year bringing it back to somewhere to go and be seen at. Decadent is an understatement, with 250 seats and a live band to play to dinners.

The weekend brunch called Q Brunch has a large selection of breakfast and lunch items, including a very good Eggs Royal and French Toast with Poached Plums. However is you want to pay an extra £15 you can enjoy bottomless prosecco, which really is bottomless as they aren't tight with the top ups, meaning you might find yourself leaving a little tipsy.

It's not a cheap brunch, but a great place if you want to treat yourself to a long, lazy brunch with the girls.

Ting at The Shard

Ting is one of the restaurants within The Shard. Nestled on the 35th floor, it truly is brunch with a view. Unlike some of the other Shard restaurants, Ting has a distinctively relaxed feel, even though it has a refined charm.

Ting's breakfast/brunch menu is slightly... varied shall we say. It's a mixture of English and Chinese. They offer a hot and cold unlimited buffet which serves pastries, cheese, salmon, cereal, to the more unusual offering of dumplings and dim sum.

Whilst no bottomless alcohol here, it is unlimited tea and coffee which to be honest is just as good.

Green Bar at Hotel Cafe Royal

I've made no attempts to hide my love for Hotel Cafe Royal, it's just one of my favorite places whether for a casual coffee and cake in their Cafe, or a fancy dinner in their restaurant, and now they have gone and made me love them more with their unlimited food AND drink offering for brunch.

You pay a flat rate of £25 and then for that you get unlimited bloody marys or prosecco and unlimited food from the counter buffet. This however is no Chinese buffet, you know the one, where the food is actually poor quality and well generally rubbish. Oh no, this is top quality, fine produce, with offers such as pastries, muffins, cheese, to the more unusual pie, hummus and cheese twists.

£25 for drink and food? There's not many places in London you can get that deal, especially when the food is this good a quality.

The Mirror Room at Rosewood London

A striking room, the Mirror Room is refined, glamorous and elegant dining at its best. It is almost like a jewel box, with mirrors lining the walls and ceiling; it is breathtaking.

See, they have done something rather wonderful and frankly genius with their brunch. They are serving a weekly Sunday brunch in conjunction with the Slow Food & Living Market outside. Chef, Amandine Chaignot, uses that particular weeks ingredients from the Market that the sellers have brought that week and puts together the most wonderful mix of cooked and fresh food counters.

You can have a full English, bread, pastries, salmon, pancakes, and even a chocolate fountain. It's foodie heaven.

It's not cheap, however I have said it before and I'll say it again. Best brunch experience I've ever  had.

Flesh and Buns

If you are looking for non traditional brunch food then you are in for a real treat. For £29 or £36 (bigger menu choice) you get unlimited small plates, one main, one dessert, one cocktail and unlimited wine or Prosecco. Is this the best discovery ever… quite possibly so.

The food is fantastic, and you'll certainly get your moneys worth. The chicken wings are just delicious and please do order the smores as they come complete with individual table fire pit to toast your marshmallows.

Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings

One thing you can can't fault with Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings is the interior. Beautiful floral, conservatory style, with comfy arm chairs, hanging baskets and mis-matched shelving.

The menu is a mix of traditional brunch items, from fluffy french toast with clotted cream and bananas, to duck eggs and potato hash. However traditional does not mean boring, oh no, the food is a real delight.

However if you add on £15, you can enjoy unlimited bloody Marys or Bellini's, which makes this place the perfect weekend hideaway, escaping the reality of January.
