I think you get the picture by now on my blog that I like to eat out. Cook? Not so much. I don’t know, I feel like sometimes it’s more hassle than it’s worth. I don’t have a car, and living in zone 1 there are zero supermarkets (by that I mean big super stores, like ASDA) so it feels like a whole lot of effort. Which is why when I was contacted by Togle, the new 1 hour Marks and Spencer delivery service to try them out, I was intrigued. It sounded very convenient, and let’s be honest who doesn’t love a bit of marks and spencer once in a while. So I tested them out to find out.

The best denim dresses for autumn

It's officially autumn. Although here in the UK, it really can not make up it's mind. This can mean it’s pretty hard to dress appropriately (see my last post on season transitional style), never mind fashionably. But I’ve discovered my currently item love, which is perfect for warmer or cooler days; the denim dress. It comes and goes in style, but right now, it’s perfect with either bare legs, with tights, a t-shirt on underneath or even a huge scarf around. Here are my top picks from around the web, and top tips on how to style a denim dress for autumn.

How to survive a long haul flight
{Photo: http://www.stillstoked.com/}
There is so much to be seen with only a relatively short distance to travel. If you are from the UK, you have the famous sights of Paris, skiing in Switzerland or stuffing your face with pizza in Italy. But there are some things you can't do without taking a long haul flight. Post 5 hours and I know, I start to get restless. So I've put together my top tips I've picked up on how to survive a long haul flight.

Airports are a sort of necessary evil. Without them we wouldn't be able to see the world, but sometimes they can feel like soulless places. I have to say Heathrow is my favourite airport from the choice for Londoners, as they have so many great shops and I always end up pocketing a few duty free buys. Which leads me on to their new installation. To celebrate the new season of fragrance, Heathrow have installed this huge fragrance wall made of 2000 fresh flowers!

That will make your check in sweeter.

I'm not sure if this weather can make up it's mind or not. Wednesday was so hot, I was actually a little delirious. Yet, on Friday I was cold! I call this the transitional period, which can make fashion very tough. Do I wear sleeves? Cover up? Well, I put my best (heeled) foot forward and gave transitional style ago. And if I do say so, myself, I think it went rather well. Come see.

London is my home, but there is still so much to see and do. Which is why on Tuesday I did a mini tour around London with Small Luxury Hotels, visiting each of their hotels. From cocktail making, to science afternoon tea, it was a fine way to discover a little bit of this incredible city.

I found myself in a bit of a style rut these last few weeks. I've taken to wearing leggings, a quirky tee and shock horror, not heels. I desperately wanted to break out of the habit, so I decided to try a rather new style for me. I've nicknamed it the gothic Baby Spice, but for this, it's all about slip dresses and top knots.

I had never been to a yoga retreat before, let alone a yoga holiday. But arriving at Ulpotha yoga retreat in Sri Lanka, already I could see why these would be popular. Just pulling up, a sense of time slowing down descended.

Jetwing Kaduruketha, Sri Lanka Hotel

After my abseiling adventure I was looking to crash out for the night. Whilst it may have taken 5 hours in a van to get to somewhere to crash, I have to say I think it was worth it. We arrived at Jetwing Kaduruketha in the dead of night, but boy did it look amazing all lit up.

I always thought of myself as an adventurer, but standing on top of a waterfall, about to abseil in Sri Lanka, I realised I had never done anything like this before. I had never abseiled, never zip lined, never rock climbed, and now I was terrified. But what is the saying? Do one thing everyday that scares you? OK so I won't be abseiling everyday but I came away with a feeling of such pride, so here is my experience abseiling down a waterfall in Sri Lanka, plus a few little tips.
