With festival season fully underway, once
again hair accessories are everywhere. This year it is all about the flower
crown, however not one to follow the crowd, I’ve found my quirky accessory of
choice- The kitten ear headband.
While some may think it is something to be relegated to the fancy dress box, I disagree, and I've completely forgotten in love with this cute but a little bit cheeky accessory.

Headband: c/o MissyRow
Top: H&M
Skirt: Matalan
Boots: c/o Get The Label
Belt: Topshop
Cuff: Spitalfields market (Similar here)
This isn’t my festival outfit, in fact I
was out for lunch with a girlfriend, proving hair accessories are truly versatile
and have a longer shelf life than those mud soaked shorts post Glastonbury.
Which reminds me I really need to get shopping for my first ever festival! I am off to V Fest in August, and I am so excited. I’ve never fancied it before, but 2013 is the year I decided to say YES to things, so a invitation was taken up this time. Although I am excited about the music, I’m not too excited about the toilets... Oh the stories... *shudder*

Those cat ears are so cute. I love the skirt as well. Good a love Matalan bargain - I used to work there when I was a student and always put things behind that till that were a good price to buy after work. Haha.
ReplyDeleteMatalan is pretty great isn't it? You can find some real gems in there. If I'd worked in a clothes shop I bet I would have done exactly the same. x

Oh thank you so much! It's all about just having the confidence. Just keep your head high, fix a little cheeky sly smile to your lips and act as if yes, you should be wearing cat ears in town! :) xxx
DeleteI have that t-shirt but didn't think it was possible to make it look feminine! I also can't believe your skirt is from Matalan - I thought it was a Zara number. I definitely know where I'm heading on payday tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing lovely! x
I know, Matalan has stepped up their game! I think it's also about pairing it with the right things, as when my (male) friend saw the skirt off the hanger he said it was 'old' but put it with 'young' boots and accessories and it works :) xx
Deletefabulous outfit, i love the cat ears they're so cute!!

DeleteI do like that you've put this together as a festival look, it works really well and what I like most about it is that is different and far from the typical festival look.

You look gorgeous. Love the outfit. I recently got some sparkly cat ears but haven't been confident enough to wear them out. I think I may have to now x
ReplyDeleteIt's all about just having the confidence- or just pretending you do! No one knows you might be feeling a little shy on the inside! Just keep your head high, fix a little cheeky sly smile to your lips and act as if yes, you should be wearing cat ears in town! :) xxx
