Peg Leg-in It

Orange blazer, peg leg trousers (3)

Ah the peg leg trouser. The fashionistas trouser of choice. Smart enough to look like take time with your appearance, but casual enough not to be mistaken for going into the ‘corporate office’. I am personally a huge fan of trousers, as I don’t really like jeans. It’s not the look of them, it’s just I don’t like the feel of them. I don’t like anything too tight around my legs, and don’t get me started on the whole lying on the bed struggling to fasten the top button. I did not sign up for an extra yoga class trying to bend myself into a pair of skinny minis.

So as the trousers reign supreme in my wardrobe, I have to get that catch 22 situation just right, which is why these peg leg beauties have gained a coveted spot in my wardrobe.

They are such a classic cut, colour and style that you really colour pair them with anything you choose really. I decided to keep it relatively smart as I was off to an event; a leather look top, a blazer and heels. But the fun is dressing up a pair of brown trousers. Leopard, orange... pearls?! It sounds like a dressing up box gone wrong, but somehow, it just scraps together.

So if it was in any doubt who wears the trousers in my relationships, I think this says it all.

  7. Peg leg trousers are probably my favourite look, as much as I like my skinnies, I love the comfort peg legs afford you! Plus as you say they can be dressed up or down. Loving those heels! x

    1. Exactly. I love having room to breath, I find tight clothing uncomfortable on me, and I don't enjoy the feeling of having to suck it all in... or worry about ripping a seam when stretching! xx

  12. Hehehe I feel the opposite about trousers and denims. I feel a little weird wearing trousers since it reminds me of corporate attire. I don't know why or how my brain came to this conclusion but I always feel a little weird when I wear a pant that isn't of the denim variety. Though I get your point about the dance one must perform to squeeze into a pair, but I quite like the slimming effect afterwards, even if I can't really breathe LOL
