Post Festival Season Crop Top

Wednesday 21 August 2013
Red crop top
I’m sorry to tell you all, but festival season is over. Pack away your tents, roll up your sleeping bags, stash away the wellies, the farmers want their fields back. I had never done a festival before this year. I just didn’t get the hype. The whole camping in a field, getting beer (and worse) chucked over me made me scream ‘hell no!’ However this summer I had taken a vow to make it a summer to remember before I moved out and moved to the big smoke to play with the big boys.

For the first time I joined the festival chic tribe. Ass baring shorts, slogan tees and sparkly headbands were the order of the day. Another newbie in my wardrobe that crept its way in was the crop top, the sneaky little fiend.

However what now that festival season is over? Do these things get relegated to the bottom of the pile? Maybe in la la land, but in my world, everything gets re-worn and reworked.

Its crop top 2.0- the suit up addition.

My style has always been classic with a twist. I practically live in blazers, and my love for trousers continues to blossom, so by pairing a cheeky little crop top with such a smart, almost boring outfit, gives new flare to it. Effortless bar chic, playful without being full on. Daring but sophisticated.

Even if you didn't go to a festival you can still get the look with crop tops from £5 at www.karmaclothing.co.uk . Much cheaper than a ticket as well! While festival season may be over, you can still relive your muddy, music filled days with your clothes this autumn. Just maybe not reliving those festival toilets….

PS What do you think of my new hair? Ta da! I went for a complete recolour and went full on redhead. Gone is the multitude dip dye ginger/brown/blond… thing. Let me know what you think, and also any makeup tips for a red head? Colours? Lipsticks?

Also not to pander for attention but IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY! Just going to throw that one out there for you! So I am off out to celebrate tonight. Anyone in Manchester, come say hi!

UPDATE: If you don't have any festival clothing, but still want to recreate this look, Karma will now offer my readers free shipping.
