When I was in high school I was a complete
and utter tomboy. I shudder now at my previous ‘style’. I kid you not when I
say I wore a cap every day. Honest to God. My NY Yankees was my most treasured procession,
even though I had never seen a game. I also didn’t own a skirt and when finally
in year 11 I wore one to school, I wore Rockport boots with it.
Today I am a completely different person.
Fashion is something I love and adore. However skirts are still makeup the
least in my wardrobe. So I am trying to change this as I get more body
confident with my legs. I was in town looking for a present for
Nessa’s birthday when Topshop just called to me, and who am i to be so rude as
to ignore that?
I’ve mentioned before how sales just aren’t
my thing, and yet for a second time running Topshop came up trumps. I salute
you Topshop and your brilliant, if not disorganised sale rail!
The skirt is quite thick and the quilting make
it look expensive, which OK it is Topshop Boutique and was £68.00 but I got it for a bargain £15.00.
See mum, I can go budget.
Never one to play by the rules, I clashed
it with this monochrome printed shirt. Double tick on the trend front there. If that is too ‘out there’ for you, this
skirt would work just as well with a plain blouse, or I would love to wear it
with a thin grey sweater.

How did you get it down to that price? It is gorgeous though. Love this outfit. I don't think I could pull it off with the monochrome on top but it works for you.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my blog : fashkiller.blogspot.com
It was just in the sale. I had to wade through the jumble sale-esque rails upon rails. But it was worth it. x

ReplyDeleteI love how contrasting the two different prints are. It is a daring choice but you pulled it off.

I have never seen a skirt like it! It's very individual and I bet it would look amazing in winter with a black-turtle neck-long sleeved top. You have phenomenal legs ,I'm so jealous!!
ReplyDeleteI also did some really horrendous things as a teen..I'm too embarrassed to share!!!

The skirt is amazeeee! Think I now prefer this one to the famous zara skort, the pattern adds another level :)
ReplyDeleteJust started my own fashion blog myself:

I loved the Zara Skort, but I think it has been over done now, which honestly? I'm kind of bored seeing it, so I thought mix it up a bit. x
