It has been known that occasionally I may tend to over react. I'm sorry but those self checkouts are really infuriating, and when my yogurt wouldn't scan for the forth time, my war cry was totally justified.
So when I was in River Island the other week it could be said that I overreacted when I let out a cry of shock which echoed across the store, however I maintain that my reaction was one of pure natural glee to what my eyes beheld. Blue suede lace-up heels. Definitely not an overreaction.
Bralet top: H&M (Current but not online)
Skirt: Topshop
Heels: River Island
Necklace: Azuni
When it comes to heels, I am fiercely fussy. Just when my mum thinks she has my taste figured out I bring brought home a pair of even wackier heels. So when my Nessa asked 'what are you going to where those with?' whilst trying to play devils advocate, I only had to raise my eyebrows at her to quash her argument. I had won, they were all wrapped up and in my possession in the blink of an eye.
However it isn't the only new purchase I have made lately. In response to my new found post festival inspiration for crop tops, I actually dared to buy this tiny little number. It is incredibly short, bordering on a bra, so in the name of modesty I decided to go for old school glamour, and to my nothing says glamour like a curve inducing, embellished pencil skirt, big, bouncy curls and a string of your finest jewels. Sadly no pearls are on my dresser, but I do have my gorgeous Azuni necklace I blogged about before.
I never considered old school glamour to really be my thing, but in the wise words of Herbal essence, my new hair colour is definitely doing beautiful things to my head.

These babies are my latest love (yes my love is fickle) so in the immortal words of The King-
'But don't you step on my blue suede shoes.
You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes.'
You have been warned, step on my feet and I'll be less than old school glamour...
