Yacht Day

Lindos (9)

Nachos, lemon heads, my dads boat...

Sorry I had to put that as ever since uploading my Instagram picture of the boy has been constantly singing it to me. Why? Because Caroline and I found our sea feet and headed out on a yacht to explore the coast of Rhodes.

Sunbathing on deck, jumping into clear warm seas... ahoy captain!

Lindos (23)

The 46ft Bavaria Cruiser yacht took us down the east coast of Rhodes, starting at Kiotari bay and then past the little fishing port of Plimiri.

Lets go!

I cant describe how relaxing it is to dangle your feet over the edge, let the cool sea breeze wrap around you as the coast tumbles past.

But maybe even more relaxing is lying down and topping up a tan...

Soon though it was time to test the waters; quite literally.

After our swim it was time for lunch and some drinks, which is where I discovered taramasalata. It's the new hummus I think!

After sailing for half the day we were told we were in for a treat. My ears pricked up. There was a secret Paradise that was where the locals go. It's called Hawaii beach.

Only accessible by boat, it is a world away from Rhodes- it feels more like the Caribbean!

There on the beach is unspoilt sand, but more importantly a bar! A mojito bar more specifically. Just what we neeed.

All this sailing lark is rather tiring wouldn't you say...

Sadly we had to leave this unspoilt world and head back onboard and make our way home. Not that I'm complaining.

As we pulled into the harbour at Lindos we caught a glimpse of some people on a roof top. The eager explorers we are, we knew we had to go check it out... till the next post my friends.

  2. There is nothing more relaxing than sailing on the open sea, watching wave after wave, the fresh air and the beautiful blue sea. You can also stop where you like and take a quick dip. This looks lovely, your\ bikini is a beautiful colour and Caroline's camisole is superb. Any idea where it is from? Lucy x

  3. Beaut photos. Don't you two make for glamorous seadawgsss! Can't believe you only just discovered taramasalata. I have such fond memories of being little, cutting the crusts off my bread, spreading taramasalata on one side then rolling it up like a swiss roll and eating at least 4 slices! So yummy!

  6. Sailing is undoubtedly an amazing experience and sometimes it becomes more adventurous when we have to deal with wild sea waves. It gives me great pleasure and a way to enjoy nature and its beauty.
