Bottomless Brunch at Green Bar

Friday 10 April 2015

Oh I do love a good Bottomless Brunch. Yes, it's just a fancy way of saying 'All you can eat' but then who doesn't love a never ending supply of amazingness?

That moment when you finish your pancakes at brunch and look down at your plate and sigh. You could have eaten another stack, right?

Well sigh no more, because Bottomless Brunches are the trendy thing right now and I've got a corker for you.

So pop that jeans top button and read on.

The brunch is at Hotel Cafe Royal. As you might have twigged, it's fast becoming one of my favorite places in London. From fine dining, to amazing chocolate, it has everything. Especially now with brunch!

You pay a flat rate of £25 and then for that you get unlimited bloody marys or prosecco and unlimited food from the counter buffet.

This however is no Chinese buffet, you know the one, where the food is actually poor quality and well generally rubbish. Oh no, this is top quality, fine produce.

Every single item has the Hotel Cafe Royals fine dinning stamp on it. Just take a look.

Fresh, doughy Piccadilly buns, just ready to be teared apart.

Cheese sticks

The most cutest hummus and crudites flower pots

Pesto mozzarella. Me and Dan mistakenly thought it was gnocchi and piled our plates high!

Whilst this is called brunch, they very much have lunch items too. There's a whole mixture of pastries and salmon representing brunch, but then there is salads, and even hot dishes like pie and stew for more of a hearty affair.

There bagels really were gorgeous, and I know when a bagel is good and when it is bad. Oh so many bad bagels in London!

Of course, there are lots of sweets too.

Well when its bottomless, you really are in for the long haul, and so dessert is a must.

I promise you'll feel like a kid in a candy store, discovering all the different dishes. If you are like me, you'll end up piling your first plate so high, forgetting you can pace yourself.

Even better, there is no rush here. Infact time seems to almost slow right down. I called the Green Bar an escape from the madness of Piccadilly Circus and it really is. It's quiet, calm, and just relaxing.

So with that in mind, we started with 'breakfast'.

Then moved on to 'Lunch'.

Now you must listen very carefully. The chicken and mushroom pie is absolutely to die for! Seriously it was gorgeous. That pastry, oh that pastry. Best pie I've had in a longtime, and that's saying something coming from a northerner.

I think that is a smile of approval don't you?

£25 for drink and food? There's not many places in London you can get that deal, especially when the food is this good a quality.

If you are looking for a slow relaxing brunch, then head on over to the Green Bar at once.

  7. Wow, this looks incredible! I'm a picky bagel eater too, but those look like seriously good ones. I'd definitely have the problem of wanting to eat absolutely everything on offer though haha!
