Last week was my birthday and so I wanted to do something fun with a couple of friends.
Now you know me by now, I like things a little different, so when Ruby Deshabille and Joe Morose from High Societease that I went to a while back, were performing at Trapeze Bar I couldn't resist. More burlesque and cabaret? Yes please!

I very much appreciated the sentiment.

Trapeze bar is a circus themed bar- no prizes for guessing that.
With hanging trapeze bars from the ceiling, and carousel booths, it's the home of some all out fun nights.
Oh and the menu's are just as inventive. Visually and taste wise.

The meat platter is a good choice. Oh the sausage was darn tasty. And no that wasn't some kind of innuendo for what was about to begin...

Once again Joe Morose was our host. This time for Cirque Noir. I want to be his best friend. Cheeky- OK down right filthy sometimes- and utterly hilarious.
He thinks and reacts on his feet to the audience and whips everyone into a good mood.
But talking of whips- I'm sure this guy wouldn't look out of place with one. Just look at that outfit!

It's a little bit darker than High Societease was.

Again like last time, I had primarily come to see Ruby perform. She is just enchanting. The way she moves is so seductive and yet fierce.
Now as it was incredibly dark in the bar, apart from the orange lights, when Ruby came out wearing red, my camera had a bit of a fit. So the pictures looked... well... all very flat and orange. However with a little help from Sepia, I made them look rather good again.
And well what better use of Sepia than a burlesque photo? Very fitting I say.

We had more fire acts, plus this woman actually stapled stuff to her body. I didn't get any pics as I was too shocked. But if you saw my snapchat, there was a video on there.

Finally the show ended with a very mysterious performance from Ruby.
As I said previously, I love the art of Burlesque. There is something so captivating about it- the way it tells a story visually.

Now tell me that's not bloody amazing?
After the show ended, the tables are cleared away and the party starts,
Of course there are no photos beyond this point as I was too busy dancing and having one of the best nights out in a long time. Get yourself down here asap.
