Over the weekend, a teeny tiny
festival took place. You know that V Festival?
This year Sure were the
official sponsors and thought I’d like to come hang out with them, so on
Saturday me and Dan drove to Essex to let the good times begin.
We had a little mission though.
Sure had teamed up with FitBit, the makers of the activity tracker bands,
to prove how much people really moved during a festival and why it is important
to then stay fresh. No one wants to be THAT person in the middle of the crowd. That’s
why Sure has created the world’s first antiperspirant that is activated
directly by movement using Motionsense freshness technology. The more you move,
the harder it works. Simples.
So popping my FitBit on, we
headed (danced in my case) into the festival.

The Fitbit is really lightweight,
and I completely forgot I was wearing it. If you don’t like the band style- say
if you are going to a fancy dinner and that lovely blue plastic didn’t quite go
with your cocktail dress, you can pop out the little data store bit and put it
into your handbag. Perfect.
Make sure you download the app
onto your phone though to check how you are doing.
Looking at my data made me
realize I needed to move more. Too much sitting on the grass and not enough
dancing to Jess Glynn- my girl crush right now.

Chilling to the Corteeners

The comedy tent

After a while we decided to
retreat to the VIP area for some downtime away from the mayhem that often occurs.

Everything is just a lot more chilled... and less messy

I was a little in heaven when I
saw the food line ups. Some of London’s best street food vendors were here.
Well it is important to have energy for all this moving about I needed to do.

If you haven't heard of Saucy Chip yet, you need to check them out. I don't know what they do, but they taste amazing.

I also discovered Generator Hostels food collaboration with Chef Luke Thomas.
Chorizo and apple relish hot dog. Oh boy.

I soon found hammocks though, and
all food was forgotten... OK not really. This is me we are talking about. I ate the food ungracefully balanced on the hammock.

Who has time for matching socks?

Soon we were back out into the
main area, where we headed to the Sure Arena to get down to some serious DJing.

My steps had smashed the 10,000
mark, even hitting 15,000 which considering a day in the office usually results
in about 5,000 I was pretty happy. It just proved how much you really moved at
a festival.
Which was lucky then that Sure kept me fresh through out the festival.
Oh and if any of you want to add me as a friend on FitBit so we can compete then I'm at heroineinheels@gmail.com on it.

We danced on until late, until we
decided to call it a night.
V Festival, you’ve been a ball.

Love your blog but SHOCKED you are showing your bum in sponsored posts. Those shorts are not fashionable and really are a poor choice :(
ReplyDeleteI've never been to V as I've always dreaded the mess and chaos, but your photos make it look quite nice - especially the VIP area!
ReplyDeletePS I think your bum is fine, don't worry.

I was in V too and really would've needed some extra deodorant, haha, It was SO hot! Love the pictures - it was my first time at V and I was really surprised at how organized and chilled it was. Except maybe for the late night toilet queues...
