Paris is stealing my heart more and more. I know it's a cliche to say it's the most romantic city in the world, but looking out of the rooftops, early in the morning on a glorious day, truly is romantic. Call me old fashioned, but I love a happy soppy story.

Waking up in the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal was utter bliss and the suite had the best view I could have asked for.
I honestly felt like I was a Grace Kelly like woman is some romantic Parisian film... Oh a girl can dream.

After a strong cup of coffee, breakfast arrived. A feast of french toast, pastries and champagne.

I might actually be dreaming.
Whilst Paris isn't exactly warm right now, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to dine on the terrace. It would be treason.
Forgetting the cold for a few moments, it was utter bliss, siting out watching the world go by.

Now because of the devastating events of the weekend, we spent most of the time in the hotel as advised by officials.
So I thought I'd use the time to check out the hotel's spa.
The Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal has its own exclusive spa, that has a large Turkish bath, a fitness centre and a beauty spa by Carita, which is one of France's most luxurious beauty brands.
I never go to spas actually, so everything is still a little new for me. But feeling adventurous, I thought I would try the hot stone massage, as the thought if being warmed up was very appealing after sitting outside.

Excuse the wild hair look!
The massage was utter bliss, and very relaxing indeed... maybe too much as the woman thought it'd gone to sleep at one point. I swear I hadn't but I was in heaven.

Feeling very relaxed and calm, we made the decision that we couldn't not see some of Paris whilst we were here. Even if it was just to go for a quick wander, as everything was closed.
So we set off towards the Louve.

It's strange to see it so quiet. If you haven't been before, you might not think this is quiet, but on a weekend, early afternoon, this is normally heaving.

Last time I came, every inch of where I'm stood was covered with people.

I tried my best to dress with some Parisian chic, so went for the classic shirt and wide skirt. Turn's out a lot of people loved it on Instagram. All Zara. Skirt/ Top/ Shoes

Although doesn't this one scrub up nicely? Well every romantic tale needs a partner.
We carried on our leisurely stroll down towards the river, which is one of my favourite areas, just as it's so peaceful to walk along.

Soon nightfall feel on my Parisian adventure and it was off quickly to head back to normal life, which isn't nearly as romantic and whimsical.
Next time I'll make sure I get to comb over this beautiful city properly, as trust me there will be a next time. It's just got that attraction that keeps pulling me back.

Such beautiful pictures! What a great way to enjoy Paris with some relaxing before site seeing!
