Contrary to popular belief I'm not always in heels and carrying a little tote. I mean yes, most of the time I like to put on a pair of heels as like with most women it boosts my confidence just that little bit more. However as a writing a London travel blog, I've been doing a lot more travelling as of late, and it's not always the kind where heels or a tiny bag are appropriate. Don't think I would have needed them skiing or in the Arctic.

On Friday I'm heading to Iceland and so was looking for a practical bag, yet one that I'd happily use again, as I hate things languishing in my wardrobe untouched.

So I thought I'd style up my new EastPak backpack before I go to show you that backpacks are not just for travelers.

I've been a fan of EastPak for a while now. They make everything from backpacks to holdalls, right through to luggage, yet always with a colorful, patterned spin, which is perfect as it gets rather boring having everyone with the same black suitcase.

I've been using it before I go to carry around my laptop- a fairly decent 15 inch screen- plus my bulky SLR and still with plenty of room for my purse, keys and other random crap us girls carry around.

Plus it comes with a 2 year warranty, something I bet my boyfriend wishes his backpack did as the straps have broken all to often under the weight.

Kurt Geiger Trainers (1)

For the limited amount of trainers I have, they always seem to be a little bit different. Well, why be normal eh? I have gold ones, furry ones, light up ones and now I have gem covered ones. I love anything that adds a bit of personality, even as simple as jeans and trainers, if you can add yourself in there then I think that is great.

These Kurt Geiger trainers are super comfy if you have to do lots of walking to, although maybe not quite for Iceland conditions.

Let me know if you have any tips for styling your backpacks too, always looking for new ways. Plus any tips for Iceland, send them on over.

  1. Absolutely love this outfit. The trousers are amazing!
I'm much more of a casual girl. I basically live in trainers and it doesn't bother me, they look cute with dresses and skirts :)

  2. I never use backpacks but I really should start soon as heavy bags get painful! I love your outfit and how you've styled it. Really love that jacket too :)
