Up until about 3 weeks ago, I had only left Europe once. I didn’t travel abroad when I was young, so I’m making up for now. However there is so much in Europe to see that it’s always taken priority. However a week ago I came back from a rather non-European place; Sri Lanka. After 14 hours of traveling, I arrived in the capital, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Slightly unprepared for some aspects (mainly the bugs, frogs and lizards) but it is certainly a trip I will never forget; one doesn’t forget their first time to Asia lightly.

Apologies all round for being a bit of a distant blogger/ social media user these last few weeks. First bad wifi in Sri Lanka, then last week I got struck down with God knows what illness, but gosh I was sick. Any who's I'm back on my feet and have a new London afternoon tea recommendation which I think you'll love; St Martins Lane Afternoon Tea.

Why is it important to make time for your friends when you are in a relationship? If you’ve found that special someone, it’s an incredible time for you. You feel as if you’ve got the perfect all-rounder person. The one who makes you laugh, the one you can tell all your secrets to, the person who you can bounce ideas off and the one you can go to when you need a shoulder to cry one. And don’t forget they are the one who will make you feel a-mazing if you know what I mean.

Being in a relationship is a fantastic feeling, and one that can become all too consuming. The way they make you feel is so good, other people start to take a back seat. You take longer to text back, you put off friendship dates for hot dates and soon your closest friends are more like long distance.

Being in a relationship can kill off your friendships if you don’t work on them. 99% of the time it’s completely unintentional, but what happens when you have a fight with your other half, or they don’t share your love of chick lit films? Who do you turn to then?  That's why its important to make time for your friends when you are in a relationship.

I have never owned a jumpsuit before, but suddenly I am seeing them everywhere. I always had this vision that they wouldn't fit my body. My bottom half and top half can be so different when it comes to fit. However I have a couple of secrets that make sure a jumpsuit will flatter any any (OK most) body shapes.

Another summer has arrived, this will be my fourth doing the blog. How crazy is that? I started this blog in my university bedroom with no clue at all, and never once dreamed it would lead to what it has. I mean when I was 21 I never though anyone would read it, let alone think it was worth sending me here, there and everywhere.

So I thought in light of summer, and the fact I wanted to giveback a little something, I'm hosting a summer beauty giveaway of all these goodies.

Do you ever feel that life is just hurtling forward? Going 100mph, with such force, you’re screaming for it to stop. Let me off. Please just pause for a second.

I sometimes feel it is so hard to live in the moment. I don’t know whether that is because of integrated technology as I’ve lived with it for most of my life, but part of me suspects so.

Sometimes I wake up already in a crap mood and sort of wander through the day and before you know it the week is over and I flop into bed, like what happened these last few days?

Living in the here and now if incredibly important, but it’s also important to make sure you have the best possible day too.

I’ve written before here on the blog about anxiety and so I’m here to share with you a few tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way to uplift my day, and now hopefully yours.

I'd like to think I work hard. Take yesterday, I started my working day at 10:30am and didn't stop until midnight (when your job is a blogger, time just flies, I must have spent 5 of those hours just on emails!). However if the opportunity arises to just laze out in the sun, I'm there.

My final day in Ticino started with a lazy morning by the pool with this view. Sorry emails, but you stand no chance.

I thought after the first day in Ticino I was fully accustomed with how gorgeous this place was. But no, there was still more to completely stun me.

We headed to Morcote, a little lakeside town with gorgeous little alleyways, and of course this stunning view. But what bowled me over was Scherrer park. Hidden completely out of sight, it felt very much like my own secret garden.
