I have never owned a jumpsuit before, but suddenly I am seeing them everywhere. I always had this vision that they wouldn't fit my body. My bottom half and top half can be so different when it comes to fit. However I have a couple of secrets that make sure a jumpsuit will flatter any any (OK most) body shapes.

Go stretchy!
At first stretchy material may sound tacky, but if you get a good cut and style, it doesn't mean so. Material with as little as 5% Elastane means that the material stretches a little, which I found meant it hugged my curves, fitting to my body.
But to stop it looking like I was channeling catwoman, the second point is to get flair/ baggy trousers. No one wants a too tight bottom half showing off a camel toe.
These two together led me to this swishy number by Missy Empire. Cute stripes, on trend cullottes, win, win, win.

It's also my first pair of culottes and boy do I love them. The cut is surprisingly flattering, and makes the ankle look slimmer.

Adorable !!! love your out fit ♥♥
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! My body is ridiculously pear shaped (tiny upper body, massive hips) so I tend to shy away from jumpsuits but this looks so flattering, I feel like trying one!
