Is it just me, or do you find fashion a little intimidating
too sometimes? There is always a new ‘It’ thing to have, and to be honest I can’t
really keep up. And don’t get me started on those fiercer than fierce photos
that top bloggers and models produce- it feels very exclusive and screams ‘You
can’t sit with us’.
Which is why Farfetch’s new campaign really stuck out to me.
It’s called The One, and is about choosing just one perfect item for you. Not
what is currently the must have item, but that one item that you want, no matter if no one else does.
Again, I was slightly apprehensive of the other girls going
into this. I don’t consider myself a fashion blogger, and so was worried they’d
think I was a bit of a fraud, in my Zara and ASOS, to their Chanel and Gucci.
But I honestly couldn’t have been further from the truth. Behind those perfect
street style photos, are just friendly women.
The Farfetch mansion was beautiful, and definitely a woah
kind of moment. Apparently Angelina and Brad (in happier times) have stayed
here.
We settled into our home for the day with pastries and
coffee.

After some serious catching up, we headed out into the
garden to open our chosen item. The One.
It was like a scene from Christmas, with everyone super
excited to unwrap our gifts. Of course, we’d all chosen our own as that’s the
whole point; something that you love, that one item that you splash out on.

And mine?
I chose an Alexander McQueen clutch. It was perfect for me.
A little dark, mysterious and not girlie, but I loved it. I have no idea what
you call my style. It’s not rock, but it’s not girlie. It’s just me I guess!
I utterly love this bag, it’s the perfect mix of edgy cool,
but with sophistication.

One of the key things at the mansion was we were to have a photoshoot with our The One. I adore my photos taken by the incredible Kaye from Fordtography. I'm get a girl boss vibe and I love that!

What a great shoot location? Can I move in please?
After the shoot, it was time for lunch.
But most importantly, cake time! Just look at that cake! And I can confirm it was not just a pretty cake, but also a darn tasty one too.
Having a little shoot of my own on the stairs.
Ah my new baby. How I do love her.

Fashion isn't about trying to keep up with everyone else. It's about having fun, and feeling comfortable and sassy about yourself. My advice is to not worry what everyone else is wearing, and go with what you love. Chose The One for you.
Here are a few of my personal favorite Farfetch items, but please feel free to totally disregard and find something else you love by them!

Still thinking about that day! LOVE your outfit and this post! So nice meeting you :)
